Cayton Beach © Niamh Gibson

Crag features

An extremely odd mixture of bouldering on sandstone boulders and on World War 2 era pill boxes, some of which have fallen off the cliff and have embedded themselves in the sand at angles which give good climbing. Cayton Beach makes for an esoteric wet-weather alternative to Ravenswick on those days when the rest of the county is clagged up.

Approach notes

Park on Filey Road (free) or in the Cayton Beach car park. The bouldering is non-tidal.
