A nicely situated boulder cluster at the head of Rosedale. Development has so far been limited to the impressive 'Lion' boulder and the aesthetic 'Rosedale Monolith'. Some good quality problems with strong lines though the high iron content means the rock can be sharp and brittle in places.
From the Lion Inn car park, cross the road and follow a signed footpath down to the old railway line. Follow this all the way round the head of the dale before decending steeply to the boulders, marked by some trees. 25-35mins walk.
some top problems. Lovely spot. Franco Cookson - 22/Jan/14 |
