Two- and three-pitch routes in a superb location next to the road in a secluded valley, seven miles inland from Tywyn. [Tom Payne 3/02]
The relevant guidebook is MID-WALES by John Sumner which is now out of print but the new one is due very soon. [4/02]
Merioydd guide is now available; the crag is also featured in the Paul Williams Snowdonia guide (not the Llanberis Pass guide). Merionydd guidebook is the new one and contains all climbs in a nice easy-to-use format. [Mike Sh 11/04]

Closed 1st April to 31st July due to nesting birds. Restrictions do not apply to The Bastion face, where most of the classic routes are.
The area is a SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest) for its mosses and other plants, and for the birds which nest there. Take care not to disturb them.

Bird Rock isn't in the llanberis pass guide book as stated on the info !!!
old mid wales guide and new meirionyyd guide is where you will find it !!
