Drive from Greenfield up the ‘Isle of Skye’ road and park in a layby on the left just below the top of the hill, as for Standing Stones. Go through the gate which is 100m further on, and follow the track to Rimmon Cottage. Now follow the moor edge above and right of Rimmon Clough and descend to its junction with Holme Clough, below the east end of Standing Stones. Go up Holme Clough, climbing past a waterfall, then scramble 50m up the hillside to a projecting rock, Bowsrock (SE 042052). To get to Middle Edge Tower continue up the moor edge past a small crag untill 200m past this the obvious isolated pinnacle is reached
