Crag features

Lying to the south of and opposite An Cliseam, this hill forms part of a small but rugged group of attractive hills located at the southeastern end of the North Harris Hills range. The climbing on Sgaoth Aird overlooks the A859 where the cliff is broken into numerous buttresses.

Approach notes

At the highest point of the A859, after the initial climb up from West Loch Tarbert, is the small Loch na Ciste which sits beneath the spur that falls north from the shoulder of the hill.

From the parking by the loch, approach by the north spur.
