Sandy Bay may be a good place to start your East Devon coast adventures; being a little less hardcore than the others. The rock is a uniform orange sandstone, split by the occasional hard clay layer.
The climbs are at the east end of Sandy Bay. Park at the holiday park and boulder hop to the headland (8 mins).
This is a World Heritage Site so endeavour to minimise rock damage. Adjacent is a Royal Marines firing range. Ignore the 'keep out' signs at your own peril.
