Crag features

A large steep crag with routes up to 35m. A range of grades but predominantly 6s. Includes a remarkable geological featuyre The Tube.

Access is really easy by car with a 5 min walk in, fingery technical climbing. There are many 7’s and a few 8a climbs to go at too. As with all French sport cimbing the grades are as tough as you’ll find. Brilliant technical climbs all round.

The Jingo wobbly guide is best, France Roc 1, There has been rebolting since the guide was writen and new plaques for most of the routes, some names appear wrong in guide!

Enjoy the glorious views of the Macon vineyards while you have your lunch

Approach notes

Search Roche de Vergisson in your maps app and there is a large obvious lay by immediately below the crag. There is a Car park on top of the crag with a toilet. Appoarch up the hill from the village or google maps may try and take you off road through the vinyards! ( kind of fun if you have 4x4 vechical, worrying if not).

From uphill side of Layby carpark a good path lead up and back left under cliff.
