Quarry on west side of road just before summit provides a number of quite high boulder problems and some short ice lines in most winters.
Bouldering:
The lower walls off some fine off vertical to slightly overhanging walls intersperced by crack lines. The top outs would benefit from a shovel to clear the loose dirt and rocks off. The Main Wall and White Face Buttress face south east and can be quite hot in sunny weather. The other faces at the back of the quarry face north.
Winter:
Exits very poor if turf not frozen. Number of lines variable, but typically 4-6. Blocks on upper terrace may provide suitable belay anchors, but may be snow-covered.
Parking room next to road just before fence & cattle-grid at top. This is adjacent to and overlooking quarry. Road from St. John's Chapel may be hazardous in winter conditions.
The boulding walls are best approached by crossing the boggy ground at the large pile of rocks in front of Rich's Arete.
