Spitzer Stein

Schwaebische Alb, GERMANY

Climbs 12 – Rocktype Limestone – Altitude ? – Faces ?

Crag features
The top of this rock resembles a needle and is therefore very untypical for the Blautal. Facing east and west, it is perfect to climb in the warm afternoon or evening sun. Flat grasslands below the rock make it suitable for a visit with small children.

Height: 10-15m

Access notes
Headed from Blaubeuren-Weiler towards Schelklingen turn left immediately after leaving Weiler. Approximately 300m after a railway crossing turn left again crossing a small bridge. Please leave your car at the car park you find there.

Headed south follow a paved road and take the first grid road going left. After some more minutes you should already be able to "Spitzer Stein" by the forest edge.
