Lower Eagle Tafraoute, MOROCCO
Climbs 23 – Rocktype Quartzite – Altitude 1600m a.s.l – Faces W
Crag features
The main wall of this cliff dominates the upper Afantinzar valley opposite the village of Anammer. A magnificant cliff of flawless golden quartzite and one of the premier venues in the region. Routes are 200-300m long but easily and quickly reached from the road, giving it a somewhat 'cragging' feel. Immaculate routes with lots of character. Catches sun in afternoon. To descend head right to a rock ramp near the west end of the cliff, which leads down the scrubby hillside easily to the road.

Access notes
Park by the side of the Afantinzar road, near Anammer and the crag is obvious to the south, with the obvious black water streaked line of Black Beauty just left of centre. Exact parking location depends on which end of the cliff needs to be accessed - vicious, gnarly scrub below the centre of the cliff makes walking all the way along the base very difficult (10-20 minutes approach, 40 min descent).
