Sinai Rock Climbing Guide © Desert Divers Co. Ltd

Crag features

Hundreds, if not thousands, of problems on large granite boulders and outcrops. The scope is endless, and you will almost always be the only ones in the area.

The bouldering areas have been explored, mapped & named over a number of years by Fred Stone, first as an instructor for Desert Divers Dahab (Sinai Rock Climbing Centre) and now as an instructor visiting Desert Divers for Bouldering, Freediving & Scuba diving every winter. You can also find Fred at The Arch Bouldering Wall in London Bridge.

Best time to visit: October - April.

Approach notes

The bouldering in Wadi Gnai is endless! Drive to the top of the wadi (as far as the jeeps can go) & hike in from there. First area where cars can park is Aragon. Dali starts at the Waterfall boulder (unmissable, you'll know it when you see it).

There are several problems around the first waterfall boulder. You can also hike in 30-45mins to a 2nd waterfall boulder with hundreds more problems.
