An interesting cluster of limestone boulders in a spectacular 1700-1800m setting. Something for all grades.
Approach notes
From the parking at the Col de La Colombiere, follow the hiking path "Chemin des grottes de Montarquis". After 10 minutes you reach a farmhouse. From here leave the main trail and continue on a horizontal, becoming slightly downhill, path towards the "grottes". 5 minutes later you reach a big boulder (routes 77, 78, 79, 80, 81, 84, 85, 82 and 83). The other boulders lie haphazardly above and beyond this - pick your way around them with care!
