Confucious Hole

Climbs 3 – Rocktype Limestone – Altitude ? – Faces E

Crag features
DWS crag, in Rockfax Deep Water guidebook.

Rockfax lists both this and Broadhaven Cove under "Broadhaven Beach". Seeing as the cove and beach are listed separately on UKC it makes sense to list this crag separately too.

Confucious he say, "The giant hole encountered when walking along the cliff top is not the hole you're looking for. It's not marked on the rockfax map either! Confucious hole is the smaller hole shortly beyond the big one - check out the google satellite piccy, that should clear things up."

Turns out that Confucious fella knew quite a lot about Pembroke DWS, and was not always so cryptic as popularly portrayed, particularly when relaying useful information as opposed to, say, philosophy. The unmarked giant hole, by the way, is allegedly accessible at low tide, but you'd need scuba gear to get in with enough water to do any soloing. Or an ab rope.

Only three lines in the guide but potential for several more. Who knows what the CC will be listing in their next Pembroke volume.
