Deceptive Buttress

Derbyshire, ENGLAND

Climbs 10 – Rocktype Gritstone – Altitude 450m a.s.l – Faces W

Crag features
Possibly the most isolated outcrop in the peak district. Pleasantly sited north of Bareholme crags high above Crowden great brook. Named as it is better than it looks, it offers a few micro routes on sound if scrittley mauland grit. Don't trek here specially, but breaks up a walk nicely.

Access notes
Access from Crowden youth hostel either by a rough sheep track on the east bank or looping in from the pennine way at the head of crowden brook. Either way allow an hour.
