Palionisos Red Wall Kalymnos, GREECE
Climbs 24 – Rocktype Limestone – Altitude 120m a.s.l – Faces S
A very attractively situated crag overlooking the beautiful Palionisos Bay with a good selection of routes in the lower grades. Opened in 2010, with scope for further development. Make sure you stop for a drink at Nick's Taverna after climbing - the owner is definitely one of the island's great characters.
Climbs at this crag
Follow the new road which crosses the island to its end then drive down a narrow track to the beach. The crag is up on the left, accessed by walking past the new taverna, along the side of the fence then up the hill via a faint track - blue paint, 20 mins..
