Crag features

Brilliant cave and walls near Port Soller.

This Crag is now CLOSED until at least spring 2012. The construction of the hotel complex above the crag now extends right up to the bar, blocking access. The hotel is due for completion spring 2012 and access may be restored then, but this is by no means certain.

Approach notes

Approach Update April 2009 - The new road tunnel takes you away from the harbour area but actually makes finding the crag easier. Just follow your nose heading generally rightwards and you will pop out on the road leading up to the bar where you park.

Mallorca DWS Update

A major update to DWS on Mallorca. Described are 64 new lines, 6 attainable open projects, 4 exciting lines with enhanced information and 11 reintroduced lines from the west coast. All of which can be found at 12 DWS venues across the island, of which three are entirely new and are appearing here for the first time.
More info

There are seven new crags in the sport climbing section including the superb Es Verger and a number of other great smaller venues. There is also a full new crag's worth of climbing at Puig de Garrafa with quality routes across the grade range. Other crags have new lines and the odd new buttress. added. The guide also contains a full Deep Water Soloing guide which has been updated and now combines the coverage given to Mallorca in the Rockfax Book Deep Water, and the 2008 MiniGuide Mallorca Deep Water Soloing.

Hotel is apparently finished and there seem to be no access issues as of December 2012. Really good climbing, but venue is spoilt by the building waste, pooey areas and general doss detritus at the base.

We climbed there at the weekend but it was a mission getting to the crag (over an hour) from the other end, worth going somewhere else while the hotel is being finished, shame as some great climbing here...

This crag is now closed. The construction of the hotel complex extends right up to the bar blocking access and climbing is no longer permitted. The hotel is apparently due for completion spring 2012, but given that construction started 15 - 20 years ago, it may not be. It is unknown if climbing will be allowed once the hotel is complete.
