Approach notes

Park by view point. Don't drive along track it's prohibited.

The new Cala Gonone Guide book divides Margheddi into 4 sectors. walking from the junction of the unpaved road and the concrete road all the crags are above the left side of the track. The scramble up to each is marked by cairns and or arrows. Sectors appear above th road in the following order. sector 1. Non Stop - 11 routes in new guide includin 3 multi pitches. grades 4 and 5. sector 2. Nomadi 15 routes 4-6b. 3. Sector Ninna Nonna 21 routes graded 5 and 6 and Sector El Chorro whidh is subdivided into 4 sections. settore sardi di Cuore 23 routes on excellent rock grades 5a to 6c.settore Torre di Mezzo 10 routes 5b to 7a.Settore El Chorro 18 routes 6b to 8a and finally Settore S'arcu'e sa Turre10 routes 5c to 6c. All are less than an hours walk from the start of the track. Details in the 2013 guide. I suspect new bolting is happening all the time at these ceags.

DO NOT DRIVE TO THAT AREA, The "Panoramic unpaved road" is really scary and one of our drivers was in tears... Even the final walk was a pain...
