Cala Luna © Nj

Crag features

There are two main areas for climbing; the tower by the pier and the over hanging larger section on the beach.
Climbing is in the shade for most of the day and is often a camping spot for climbers not wishing to make the trip back to Cala Gonone every day.

Beware; many of the routes on the right hand section, Grottoni (the caves), have badly corroded bolts. The bolts on Parete dei Lastroni and Con esposizione Nord (except F ing Beach) seem Ok.

Approach notes

The crag is accessed via a 2 hour, 6k hike over the mountain from Cala Fuili beach or by a 20 euro return boat trip from Cala Gonone. Last boat leaves a 1830 hours. Avoid this hike in the hottest times of the day as it can be quite hard going. Good shoes and plenty of water are essential if you attempt the hike but you can replenish at the Cala Luna bar, unlike Cala Fuili.
