This used to be a popular climbing area close to Vienna some decades ago.
Nowadays it is out of fashion and of only interest to locals.
Approach notes
Drive through the small town of Gießhübl and take the steep main road to the highest possible point (big parking space to pay for, free parking close by). Walk upwards on the large meadow, following the asphalt road, but take a small path leading westwards into the wood when the road makes a sharp turn to the right.
Walking time: 3mins.
