Rocktype Conglomerate
Altitude 136m a.s.l
Faces E
Numerous well-cemented conglomerate exposures hidden in dense undergrowth. Cleaning and removal of some vegetation may aid bouldering, much more exploration required.
Conglomerate is well-cemented with a mixture of sedimentary and igneous clasts up to about 300mm in size. Most holds are sharp and crimpy, and much less abundant than would be expected from conglomerate.
Leave bike/car at Leachkin Brae carpark, walk up path for c. 50m then take the path which branches off to the right. Cross the small burn, and then ascend to the left to find the first exposures.
I live fairly close to this i believe i know were this is in the woods as i have walked my dog there before i am going to get pictures and try to climb some of the rock and post my comments Keo - 28/Feb/13 |
