Willapark is well known as an adventurous trad venue, but amongst the rock that needs careful handling, there is also good rock to be found. This is especially true wherever the rock has been sea-washed.
At the southwestern tip of Willapark there is a headland of good quality slate above a large sea washed ledge. The sea level traverse of 'The Hunting of the Snarg' starts here and follows generally very reliable rock at or above sea level all the way along the base of Willapark.
To access the southwestern tip of Willapark, where Park Fight and White Wanderer are located, walk over the top of Willapark and descend a faint path which follows the edge of the cliff. A 150 foot free hanging abseil gains a ledge at the base of this part of the crag. Alternatively, continue down slabs and traverse in to the base of the crag. Low to mid-tide in calm seas recommended.
