Crag features

Usually known simply the Monolith, this amazingly tall and slender pinnacle sticks up out of the forested hills above the village of Sardieres. It was originally climbed, via the Classique by Michel Paquier and Alfred Cognet in September 1959 - which is fairly amazing. There are a few other interesting towers in the area, check the local guidebook.

All three routes are on the south face, it can be hot here at anytime of the year, climbing here winter can be great. The routes take no drainage but are very exposed to the wind.
