Climbs 20
Rocktype Gneiss
Altitude 7m a.s.l
Faces NW
There's two areas of interest - the section below the Imperial hotel and the bit below the parking bays just north of the slipway. The wall is up to 10m high and well-pointed up, so holds tend to be flat crimps within the faces of the blocks. This creates numerous delicate & balancey lines for toproping, bouldering or soloing. The section by the slipway is concave - slabby at the bottom and overhanging at the top. There are no belays so you have to tie onto your car.
Park in designated spaces by the locations, or directly above if toproping using your vehicle as a belay. Please park sensibly and use discretion - do not block the bus turning point or paved area in front of the Imperial. The sector by the slip floods towards high tide, the sector below the imperial is non-tidal if it's calm.
