Crag features

Beautiful, high quality crag approximately 20 km from Vang Vieng. Unfortunately due to the lack of traffic the approach trail is vague and overgrown and the climbs a little dusty. Despite this, it is one of the best in the area for quality of the rock and the routes

Approach notes

To the parking
Take the main road North from Vang Vieng, and around 2 km north of Pha Tang and when the crag comes into view park in a large lay-by on the road.

To the crag
From here walk back South. There's a house with a large gate, walk back past this and take an obvious footpath into the forest (it may be possible to take your bike down here). Cross over the river, then over a small ladder and into the fields. Be mindful not to walk on any crops and only walk along the banks of the rice paddies.

For sectors Deeper than the Day, Papillon and Calcaneus
Walk to the left of a small cabin and pick up a vague trail into the forest.

For sectors Papaya Tree and Rocterra
For the sectors on the right side, walk right of the cabin through past the shelter to the base of the wall. As far as I could see (2022) it isn't possible to walk right along the base of the wall to all sectors. For sector millipede I couldn't find an approach path without tresspassing into the cabin with the fence. Please let me know if you have any further information.
