A secluded little promontory tucked away at the northwest end of Chair Ladder and defining the southern point of Porth Loe Cove. Although overshadowed by its grander neighbour, the cliff has a strong identity of its own and offers some worthwhile pitches, particularly in the VS grades. Rock quality is generally excellent although there may be some minor grittiness in places.
From the car park in Porthwarra, take the road to the right, up the hill and through a gate. At the first left bend, carry on up the hill on the road to the coastguard lookout, which is directly above the highest section of Chair Ladder. From here, walk westwards across the rim of Zawn Rinny and follow the path that curves round the western edge of the zawn and eventually leads down to Chair Ladder's Bulging Wall area. Just before the point where steeper rock begins, branch off right (facing out) and cross a small ridge. Descend rightwards between small buttresses to a point above a rocky bay on the western side of Carn Guthensbrâs Promontory.
