Sunny and (mainly) slabby with 1-3 pitch routes fully bolted, grades between 3b and 5b on the main slab, with a couple of harder routes on the Left Wall.
The slab is split roughly into 3 by a prominant crack system on the left and a water runnel on the right. To the right of the water runnel is the upper terrace, from which the easier routes start.
Best of all, there is a really awesome little ice cream shop in Lillaz village (across the bridge, 50m on the left). A recommended end to the day.

Lillaz is above Cogne at the head of the Cogne Valley.
[Autumn 2023] The 52 bus from Aosta will take you to Cogne (Timetable here). From there a Navette will take you up to Lillaz (Timetable here). First bus from Aosta is 6:50am Mon-Sat, and 8am Sundays and bank holidays. Last navette from Lillaz to connect with the bus down the valley is 7:10pm Mon-Sat, 6:10pm Sunday
Follow the signs for path 13 and Alta Via 2, the crag is signposted, 20 min approach.
I was there today, bolts and lower off's in good condition, its a pleasant crag with great views, easy simple climbing - similar to little Tryfan but sunnier! agolay - 02/May/15 |
