Crag features

Pic Gaspard is one of the tallest mountains in the Ecrins Massif.

It was first climbed in 1878 by Henry Duhamel, Pierre Gaspard and his son, and Christophe Roderon

It was named after Pierre Gaspard, who also conquered the Meije.

Approach notes

The walk up the Vallon Claire can be quite technical. Be very careful when descending this way if you did not come up this way.
