Crag features

The wall has a few meters of trees/vegetation in front of it, so doesn't get the full effect of the sun, which filters through the trees.

It can get midgy, so mosquito spray is quite useful.

Around 20 climbs, on a steeply overhanging wall (up to 45 degrees). Generally very well bolted routes, but the grading is a bit hard. Most routes have rings at the anchor.

The rock is sharp with hidden pockets so taping up the fingers ensures you can do more than one route.

Approach notes

Follow E6 to Vaernes, exit towards the airport and Selbuksogen (fv705). Follow this through two roundabouts and over the bridge that crosses stjordalselva, turn right under the bridge and past the Coop store. Approximately 4.5 km after the store is a sign to the right saying Frigård, motor centre, shooting range and ski lodge. Turn here and follow the road straing ahead. After 700m there is a sign to block further driving straight ahead due to it being military area. Turn to the right here and follow the gravel road past the rally track (about 1km) and keep left where the roads split. Follow the gravel road to the large parking area. Parking fee is voluntary.

The climbing area is located behind the small hill ski jump. Take the gravel road past the barrier and towards the ski-hut. At the ski-hut, follow the sking track left and you will see the wall behind the trees. Cross over through the brush or if you want a better approach, walk back a little to find a proper path going off into the trees.
