Massive potential for developement, 'Mao Rock' especially. Lots of trad options, and easy to build natural/trad anchors to set-up a top-rope.
Nice long climbs, offers fantastic views of the surrounding bays.
Natural/trad anchors required for some routes, for the more experienced climber. Some of the easier climbs have anchors already, refer to the topo guide.
Recommend talking to the guys at Goodtime Adventures on Sairee beach who developed the area, they will offer a guided service with an experienced instructor to help find and then set-up the climbs.
Difficult access now that the Laem Thian resort has closed, the road has become overgrown and a 30 minute hike is required from the Hin Wong / Laem Thian road junction.
Head towards Hin Wong Bay and at the Tarn Align resort, take the road running to the right of the resort and head up the steep hill. The road is no longer suitable for vehicles, so hiking from here on out. Follow the path staying straight, ignoring any turn offs, you'll eventually see the sea through the trees on the left, shortly after you will see a huge tall rock on your right that just looks like it wants to be climbed. Good luck!
