Crag features
The prominent ridge line of the Mürtschenstock can be obseved on a clear day driving south from Zürich. The three summits Stock, Fulen and Ruchen can be combined in a long and demanding alpine traverse, with route finding one of the key elements.
Approach notes
For most routes the approach is from the Talalpsee to the north. Free parking for several cars is available but a tol must be payed at the automatic machine on the road from Filzbach (after the parking for the chair-lift, after a right hand bend, on the right hand side of the road, not super obvious, not on street-view, 7 CHF(?) cash). The aforementioned chair-lift (Kerenzenberg Sportbahnen, good website) will add 150m of ascent at the end of the day. For the normal route on Fulen, there is parking north-east of the mountain for several cars, just east of pt.1060 on the road / track from Obstalden.
