Sron nan Lairig Argyll and Bute, SCOTLAND
Climbs 3 – Rocktype Rhyolite – Altitude 818m a.s.l – Faces N
Crag features
A classic but easy winter mountaineering route and a couple of snow gullies. The main spur is ok as a summer scramble (if that, as a series of 'paths' weave their way up leaving only one or two scrambling segments) but is quite loose and grassy.
The start point is at the Massacre Memorial Cairn just uphill from the gorge at the east entrance to Glen Coe (NN187563). A path leads easily south west up the lairig for about 3.5Km or 2 miles. From this point, just before the high point of the path as it descends to Glen Etive, the Sron Na Lairig ridge will appear to the west of the path.
