Pinch Perfect at Arnagill Crags © Alex the Alex

Crag features

A small 30m edge of good moorland grit up to 5m in height with numerous lower boulders surrounding it. Noted as Arnagill crag on the OS but not to be confused with the nearby Arnagill valley which is briefly mentioned in YG Vol.1. The main bay is sheltered with good landings and clean fast drying walls. The right hand buttress is well featured whilst the main wall of the bay is much blanker with the potential for some much harder lines. The crag was briefly looked at by Tony Barley in the 90's (and likely many others) but never fully developed or recorded. Hollow Wall and Pinch Perfect are both excellent. A lovely spot with a beautiful outlook and well worth a visit for an afternoon or in combination with Roundhill or Clint.

Approach notes

From the Roundhill parking head across the dam. The crag is visible in line with the large oak from the end of the dam. Head up the hill as for Roundhill then continue on directly towards the large folly/sighting tower. At the top of the hill take the vague shooting trail NE along the edge for a few hundred metres before dropping down to the crag. The large Rowan tree is a useful marker for dropping down. 15 min from the car.
