Crag features
Langesetbekken is a good alternaltive to the Langesetfeltet if you fancy a longer trip early in the season. When the road closes, the approach is long and prone to avalanches on the upper part. The central section of the icefall presents several options with least obstruction on the right side with streches of steep climbing on pillar formations. The climb slackens off towards the top.
Approach notes
From Ulsåk, follow the main road R52 eastwards towards Gol. After 4.6km, turn right at the signpost towards Langeset waste depot. After 750m, the road splits - take the left and drive past the waste depot on your left. Pass through the toll station (50kr). Follow the road for 6km and park in the parking area by the tunnel entrance at the end of the road.
Follow the path from the northwest end of the carpark. Follow the path for 25 minutes, passing sector Frostrøyk on the Langesetfeltet about halfway. During the winter the road closes at the toll station. Long approach after snowfall when the road is closed.
