Chris King and Sally Baxendale on Do You feel Lucky?(E2), Clints of Dromore, Galloway © Stephen Reid - Needle Sports

Crag features

Series of broken, south-facing granite slabs, in a sunny and sheltered location not far from the car.

Best visited in winter/early summer when its not nipple deep in ferns........

Approach notes

Various nesting bans and also a popular hang-out for adders!

Don't follow the pin on google maps unless you want to walk through half a mile of forest and over a mile and a bit of boggy grassland!

Check the approach notes in Lowland outcrops instead.

No Access Issues

Various nesting bans and also a popular hang-out for adders!

The link on Google maps looks closer but the walk is terrible, take the approach stated in Lowland outcrops, look for the pin at Cairnsmore of Fleet national Nature Reserve instead.

A good topo can be found here as well as on John Biggar's site. https://www.needlesports.com/Information/Features/Galloway-Climbing/The-Clints-of-Dromore
