Crag features

Considered one of Japan’s hardest sport climbing areas, Horai is home to many classic lines put up by Japanese strong man Dai Koyomada, amongst others.  Recently Sachi Amma and Akiyo Noguchi have set their eyes on several projects in this area and are keen to spend quite a bit of there free time in this amazing place high in the Japanese country side.

Approach notes

Park your car on the carpark on the right side of the road just before a small sign. There is a small parking after that just by the small outhouse but this is only for people visiting the shrine. If the car park is full, don't park your car along the road, but at the big car park on the other side of the river on the way to the hydroelectric powerplant/Lake Horai.
