Stob Ghabhar © Only a hill
A large series of buttress below the summit of Stob Ghabhar. The lower and upper couloirs are a classic winter mountaining day out. The upper crag is also very exposed to easterly winds and comes into condition quickly, offering compact mixed climbing. The appraoch does require caution as it can be avalance prone.
Easiest appraoch to the main cliff is via the stalkers path starting at Clashgour Hut. Walk up left of the waterfall into Coire na Muic, following a path along the fence line to the coll just short of a summit and traverse in. Alternatively follow the path from the hut all the way up the corrie and make the short descent down towards the Lochan. .
