Abraham's Chair Quarry

Climbs 5 – Rocktype Gritstone – Altitude ? – Faces SE

Access notes
Half a mile NE of Mossley a lane leads to some cottages below the smalll quarry (in 1983 Lancs Guide)

This doesn't match the linked map - there is an outcrop where the map shows so am in process of checking whether this is actually Abrahams's Chair.

I visited this crag recently and was told by the chap who lives in the cottage down the track on the approach that it is private land and access is forbidden. He also said its rubbish quality rock and very dangerous...I think he was implying loose. I wouldnt argue with him...he has 2 massive aerials on his house and a very gucci looking cctv camera...plus 2 fiesty looking billy goats and what sounded like a large guard dog! He was very nice about encouraging me to leave tho. Bit worrying that this crag is mentioned by the BMC in the newly published Over The Moors guidebook.
