Climbs 4
Rocktype Sandstone (hard)
Altitude 117m a.s.l
This is a small bouldering area with very few climbable boulders. There is one small overhang, about 15' tall, which connects to a vertical face about 20 long. This boulder has maybe 3 or 4 potential routes. There is another small boulder with a small overhang with another potential route. The area stays wet for a while after a rain. The only good part about this area is the creek which is right next to the boulders. If you are in the area and looking for a hike, a look at some small waterfalls, and climbing on maybe a few V3 to V5 problems check it out. Otherwise, I recommend going somewhere else.
The area is on public land so access is not a problem. From Macon take GA 129. There will be a caution light at the intersection of 129 and 212 a few miles past the intersection you will cross murder creek. Another mile or so on the left is Fred Wooten Road. Take Fred Wooten Road and follow it to the gravel parking area. Hike down to the creek and follow the creek upstream. You will see the boulders.
