Crag features

The abutment wall and first 4 support pillars of an old bridge across the James River in the centre of Richmond VA. The climbing is on the Manchester side of the river. The wall and pillars are made of large solid blocks bolted for sport climbing.

Approach notes

Approach from small car parks at the Manchester end of the Manchester Road Bridge. One is at the end of Semmes Av just at the start of the N bound access sliproad (follow the path NW to a footbridge over the railway and then zig-zag down to underneath the bridge (by the other car park), the other is under the bridge and is accessed via 6th St and the railyard below the E side of the bridge. From the car park below the bridge a signed path leads in a few metres to the climbing
