Crag features

A small steep wall of very good rock set high above Langstrath Beck. The climbing is very worthwhile BUT the top of the crag is fringed with a deep cover of heather that makes for unpleasant finishes, especially if damp. Walking around and fixing a spare rope in a shallow hollow to stretch down to the good rock makes the experience here much better, especially if you are doing several routes. The rock dries quickly but the vegetation above the crag holds water and can increase drying out time after wet periods.

Approach notes

A steep walk up to below Heron Crag and then go up left until a quick traverse right gains the base of the wall.
