The right hand side of the clif has been subject of restrictions due to nesting birds for many years. In the last few years auks (guillemots and razorbills) have been nesting across the whole cliff, making climbing access practically impossible (and unpleasant due to guano). As a result BMC have agreed to an extension of the seasonal restriction to include the whole crag from 2011 onwards.
Dates: 1 March to 31 July
Reason: Nesting Birds
Due to nesting sea birds - mainly auks but also cormorants and shags-from March 1st to July 31st.
