Aid Crag Northumberland, ENGLAND
Climbs 15 – Rocktype Sandstone (hard) – Altitude 300m a.s.l – Faces N
Crag features
A series of buttresses which tend to get a bit vegetated. However, there are a handful of good routes worth seeking out that will reward those who visit. The current guide misses out quite a lot of stuff, but the best routes are described.
Good for a mid-summer post work climbing session.

Access notes
Aid Crag is best from the west. Park in the Fourlaws layby, near Ridsdale on the A68. Follow the well made forestry track past a couple of mobile phone masts to the base of the crag. 15 minutes walk, or 5 minutes by bike.
An alternative and longer approach is from Great Wanney, sticking to the track when it bends right (instead of branching off to Great Wanney).
IMPORTANT: Peregrines sometimes nest at this crag (summer 06): Please refer to http://www.thenmc.org.uk/pages/guide/index.php?v=4&s=2&id=1 for the latest information regarding access.
