W face of Cerro de la Cruz: the biggest wall in Los Gigantes (central Argentina) © Fabien Quétier

Crag features

The highest cliff in the Gigantes massif (Los Gigantes) of the "Sierras Grandes de Cordoba" in central Argentina.

Many routes can be combined into interesting 3-4 pitch climbs. Easy descent from the top, or abseiling.

Approach notes

From Cordoba to Tanti and then W to Salsacate via "Los Gigantes". Daily buses from Cordoba city run by "Sarmiento" (leaves at 8h30). From the bus stop, walk NW towards the mountains. You need to stop to pay at La Rotonda (5 pesos per day). They will give you indications for reaching the crag which is 1h away on foot.
