Upper Wrysgan (Moelwyns)

Climbs 24 – Rocktype Rhyolite – Altitude 320m a.s.l – Faces E

Crag features
Single- (and one multi-) pitch routes up to 85ft, with great rock. A good spread across the grades.

Access notes
One of the Moelwyns. Note that access problems can arise if you try to take short-cuts - don't. It's only two minutes.

Access can be delayed (or halted) by blasting at the Cwmorthin Slate Quarry, if it's still open.

Follow the Cwn Orthin track until below the first ruined building, over the stream, grassy terraces LW up the boulder-field. Either go to the top of the main cliff, or head up L from the slate tips by an obvious path.

Guidebooks
Scrambles & Easy Climbs in Snowdonia (2005), Meirionnydd (2002), Tremadog and Cwm Silyn (1989) (1989),
Out of print: Tremadog (1983)
