Crag features

This interesting outcrop, although small, is well worth a visit. It is composed of solid sea-washed granite and contains a number of good routes. The cliff is best visited after midday, when it is a sun-trap.

The Gwynver Beach Bouldering area is also described and a good topo can be found here.

Approach notes

Approach from the car park above Gwynver Beach. From the car park, go straight down to the beach and follow the Coast Path northwards to the rocky headland of Aire Point, which forms the northern limit of Whitesand Bay. The cliff, which is flat-topped and not easy to see, is located 300m before the cliff of Aire Point.

2014 Winter storm damage update: Massive rockfall has totally destroyed Blood Wagon, maybe as far as Cow Girl. The main, steep face is unaffected. Also The Alamo and The Quiet Man are ruined, as the bottom of the overhanging block has fallen down, meaning unless you're 8 feet tall, you've got no chance. Cheyenne may still be intact.
