Amazingly atmospheric dry river bed with short single pitch sport climbs, mainly on "carrots".
In a shady cleft on the landscape, the routes here are occasionally in the sun but for short periods only.
The sandstone is compact and friendly, sloping, smooth crimps to huge weaknesses big enough to stand in offer varied climbing.
Unless your in a good 4x4, park next to the railway lines before walking along tracks down to the swimming hole and damm.
There is a detailed description in the Blue Mountains Climbing Guide (2007).
|great sports crag, an oasis with a creek running through it. access by following the tracks down to the damm, do not cross the damm, scramble off to the rig and down to the creek and you'll see stepping stones through to wet feet and mossy wall area. only spent a day here but well shaded and could easily spend a week! met some locals in the afternoon who use it as their local wall|
