Nether Tor Derbyshire, ENGLAND
Climbs 60 – Rocktype Gritstone – Altitude 580m a.s.l – Faces S
An excellent moorland crag on the southern edge of Kinder Scout. Well worth visiting along with nearby Upper Tor. The right-hand section has been quarried and the climbing contrasts with the rounded, flaky stuff on the left! Classic routes include, Moneylender's Crack (VS 4c), Flash Wall (Vs 5a), Edale Bobby (E5 6a) and T' Big Surry (E5 6b).
Western Grit (2009), On Peak Rock (2003), Peak Climbs - Kinder and Bleaklow (1990),
Out of print: Western Grit (2003)
Climbs at this crag
From Edale (parking south of the village - busy, so come early) head along the Pennine Way. Nether Tor is the right-hand of the two obvious crags above Grindsbrook (30 min).
