Dale Quarry (Wirksworth) Derbyshire, ENGLAND
Climbs 9 – Rocktype Limestone – Altitude 185m a.s.l – Faces NW
Crag features
An impressive quarry with a superb west facing wall containing the best route, Handy Wallhole. Other routes are getting quite vegetated. The bolts are 8mm rock anchors and date from 89-91 as do the remaining pegs so treat with utmost caution. These routes have NOT been verified as they most likely haven't had an ascent for 10+ years. If you do get to the bottom of 'The Big Hole' then beware, local folklore tells tales of dinosaurs roaming the swamp.
