Gorselands

Climbs 36 – Rocktype Granite – Altitude ? – Faces S

Crag features
A number of faces from 40m to 10m in height. The granite which is lowest (and hence closer to sea level) tends to be compact and smooth whilst the rock higher up tends to be more friable and gritty to the touch. Generally well sheltered and South facing.

Access notes
On the SW of the island, on the B83 approach to La Corbiere, 500m past the right-hand bend and turning for 'Le Chemin Des Signaux' (La Moye Prison entrance), is a small parking area and trail head, poorly marked by a small yellow sign with house names. From the parking area, walk South along the road and take the track at the gate, East onto the headland. A long low rock roof should be seen in the headland below to the East and this is a good indicator that you are in the right area. Once the roof is visible, descend on grassy slopes to a rock platform at the top of the climbs. 5 to 10 minutes from the parking area to the platform.
