Most of us have a goal in mind when it comes to our climbing, a specific route or problem, a grade we'd like to climb either indoor or out; maybe just to improve and enjoy our climbing more this year. How many of us actually know how to go about achieving that goal?
Manchester Climbing Centre
In reality, there's a host of articles, self-help books, videos and opinions out there on how best to progress your climbing, but how nice would it be to have someone to talk to face-to-face; to tell you where you're climbing is good, where you could improve, and how to do it? How about giving you a simple four-week plan that will focus each and every climbing session until you reach your goal?

The Manchester, Harrogate & Reading Climbing Centres, part of John Dunne's Climbing Centre Group. For those who don't know John Dunne, he was a prolific climber in the 1980s and 90s who made the first ascent of The Big Issue in Pembroke, Parthian Shot at Burbage South, New Statesman at Ilkely, and Totally Free at Malham. John's Climbing Centre Group have now completely redeveloped their coaching program in conjunction with TeamGB Coach Ian Dunn. Their coaching sessions are designed to be simple but effective, based on the safest, most modern techniques, but dispensing with the unnecessary jargon, leaving you with easy to understand feedback. Add a four-week training plan to your coaching session and you will leave with a recipe to climbing a grade harder within a month, regardless of your current standard.
Don't take our word for it; there is a Coaching Session for two, with a four-week training plan for each climber up for grabs in a UKC competition. Just answer the question below and be able to get to one of the Climbing Centre Group centres to claim your prize at a time to suit you (within the centre's availability).
